Frequently Asked Questions

What is a "Floating Tray Frame"?

Unlike traditional frames where the lip overlaps and hides the edges of the artwork, a floating tray frame (or canvas gap frame) allows the entire canvas face to remain visible. The stretched canvas is mounted inside the solid wood frame with a precise 7mm “shadow gap” between the art and the inner frame wall. This creates a high-end, contemporary illusion that the masterpiece is magically floating within its border.

Absolutely not. Uncompromised integrity is our core philosophy. We never crop a historical masterpiece to fit a ubiquitous, mass-market frame. Instead, our sizing families are dictated by the original aspect ratio of the artist’s vision. Whether it is a perfectly square Klimt or a sweeping, panoramic Turner seascape, every brushstroke is preserved exactly as intended.

Every piece is bespoke and crafted specifically to order. Our artisans require 3 to 5 business days to print, stretch, and custom-frame your artwork. Once it passes our gallery-standard quality checks, it is handed to our couriers. Domestic UK deliveries typically arrive 1-3 business days after dispatch, while international transit takes between 5-10 business days.

Yes. We use premium, heavy-weight, 385 GSM archival canvas that features a beautiful, fine-weave texture. This ensures that the digital reproduction feels like a tangible, historical artifact rather than a flat, glossy poster.

No. Your Canvour artwork arrives fully finished and ready to display. Premium hanging hardware is pre-installed on the reverse of the frame, allowing you to elevate your space the moment you unbox it.
