Alphonse Mucha

Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939) was a pioneering Czech painter and illustrator whose distinctive style became globally synonymous with the Parisian Art Nouveau movement. Renowned for his theatrical posters, decorative panels, and elegant advertisements, Mucha’s work is characterised by harmonious pastel colours, flowing botanical motifs, and gracefully idealised figures. Today, his masterpieces remain some of the most celebrated and instantly recognisable artworks of the late 19th century.
